Occupancy
detection of 16 track sections with MX9V or MX9B module:
- Current consuming vehicles will be recognized on a track section, - Current consumption of an idle decoder or cars with a small resistor across axle is sufficient, - Local display of occupied track sections by means of 16 LED's at the module, - External display through connected bulbs or at the computer. "Signal controlled speed limits": - Stopping of trains before a red signal (in "stop sections")
without loosing control over lights and functions,
-
Signal dependent speed limits in 5 steps for decelerating
trains or for slow speed sections,
-
Full control of all functions even while train is stopped or
limited in speed in a slow speed section,
-
With the help of the MAN button, all above mentioned limits
can be lifted, individually for every selected engine.
"Local function
control":
-Automatic "on" of selected functions of a ZIMO function
decoder
in specified sections of track,
-
"and", "or", "not and" combinations, with individual control.
Loco number recognition: - Evaluation of acknowledgment pulse from ZIMO decoder, - Train number displayed on display module or computer. ("STP" software )

Computer control:
The MX9 products are responsible for the trains safety, that is, besides occupancy detection, especially for the unique ZIMO "signal controlled speed limits", "local function control" and engine number recognition. |
MX9V | Full version, covering 16 track sections grouped to 8 blocks. An occupancy detection is performed on each of the 16 sections and the "signal controlled speed limits" as well as the "local function control" can be applied to each block (made up of two sections). Engine number recognition and location for ZIMO decoders is performed on every block (on which a plug-in board MX9AZN is installed). |
MX9B | Low cost version, for the purpose of occupancy detection but without "signal controlled speed limits" or "local function control". Otherwise identical to the MX9V. |
Accessory: | |
MX9STECK | Connector set for MX9V, MX9B resp. |
|
|
Plug-in boards (sockets provided inside the MX9):
MX9AZN | For
Loco number recognition on one of 8 blocks of a MX9 (each
block is made up of two adjacent track sections, from a total of 16). Altogether
there are 8 sockets (one for each block) ready to be furnished with MX9AZN
boards.
Recognition
and storage of up to 4 engine numbers per block simultaneously, then sent
to a computer or to a remote MX9ZIA display module (connected to MX9).
|
MX9AZNG | For
Loco number recognition on one of 8 blocks of a MX9 (each
block is made up of two adjacent track sections, from a total of 16). Altogether
there are 8 sockets (one for each block) ready to be furnished with MX9AZN
boards.
Recognition
and storage of up to 4 engine numbers per block simultaneously, then sent
to a computer or to a remote MX9ZIA display module (connected to MX9).
Special "stronger version" for large scales. |
MX9ALA | For remote occupancy indication (e.g. switch board) and block signals. Each MX9ALA board (4 slots in each MX9) controls 8 bulbs for 8 occupancy indicators or 4 signals with red/green indication. In "STP", each of those output pins can be freely assigned, that is, independent of the module's block assignment. An affordable alternative to operate signals. |
MX9ASE | For the direct use of the "signal controlled speed limit", triggered by external switches, relays etc. (that is, without the use of system autonomous control or computer). 8 inputs for each MX9ASE board (room for two boards in each MX9). |
External display module:
MX9ZIAP | 8 digit LED display module (red digits), connected to a MX9. Separate power supply socket (12 - 15 V transformer needed). For each block, a LED display module can be installed provided a MX9AZN board is plugged in for that block. Simultaneous display of 3 two digit or 2 three digit engine addresses possible; alternate display when more than 2 resp. 3 engine addresses are present per track section . |
MX9ZIAW | As MX9ZIAP, but in an angled frame, which is more suitable to be installed in a switch board |
