ZIMO decoders (like MS450 or MN330) rarely need extensions regarding their outputs because they usually already have up to 10 function outputs. Nevertheless, adapter boards can be very useful. They are used because of:

Adapter board for PluX-22 decoders; the decoder is plugged into the socket connector of the adapter board. Via large solder pads, the wiring inside the loco is very comfortable, whereby common connections (positive lines) for a variety of usages are realizes multiple times. The adapter board ADAPLU is equipped with a rectifier which relieves the decoder's rectifier and so produces less lost heat and performs better. The adapter boards ADAPLU, ADAPLU15 and ADAPLU50 can be used together with all PluX decoders from the ZIMO programme which are equipped with a 16 V energy storage connection at the PluX interface (e.g. MS450P22, MS450P16, MS480P16, MN330P22, MN300P16). The adapter board ADAMTC is equipped with a rectifier which relieves the decoder's rectifier and so produces less lost heat and performs better. The adapter board ADAMTC can be used with following "21MTC" decoders ( C-types): MX631C, MX634C, MX638C, MX644C, etc. and their successors. DO NOT USE MS440C, MX636C and D-Types like MX631D, MX634D, MX636D, MX638D and MX644D, whereas some of them can be turned to the corresponding C-type by pseudo-programming: CV #8 = 3. For the connected decoder, the values of the supported energy storage modules only change to 16V/max 6800µF, if the energy storage module is connected to the corresponding solder pads/screw terminals of the ADAMTC/ADAMKL boards. |
