The ZIMO System The main components of the ZIMO system are: MX10 command station or MX10EC Economy command station ( both by default with MiWi radio module), controllers MX32 and MX32FU (with or without radio) and the "StEin" modules (replacing the old MX8 and MX9). The "StEin"modules (stationary equipment modules) The StEin modulesare components of the digital control system, and are used in combination with a ZIMO command station MX10 as digital central. The the StEin modules all stationary equipment of a model railroad layout are connected. This is track sections (with occupancy detection and loco-number recognition, full RailCom functionality, overcurrent/short circuit handling, ZIMO HLU), accessory articles (switches, signals, decouplers), point detectors and position indicators (contact rails, photoelectric sensors, etc) as well as speakers (for platform announcements, and others).

Devices of the current system with the old system The controller MX32 can also be used to expand "old" systems (based on MX31) instead of MX31. MX32 can be connected via CAN cable, but not via radio.
